Counselors In Training
Our Counselor In Training program is designed to prepare campers for leadership roles within camp. This is a Specialty Camp within the Camp Speers Residential Camp Program.

CIT’s begin learning the ins and outs of what makes Camp a special place.  Through a mix of fun and hard work CIT’s learn not only how to be counselors, but how everything from the Administrative Office to the Kitchen works together to make camp happen everyday.  This program is designed for teens in the summer between 10th and 11th grade years who may want to work within our resident camp programs in the future.  The CIT’s participate in a 3 day backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail, plan & implement a service project, spend 1 week living & working with our Eljabar Campers and participate in a Lifeguard Certification course.
