Horseback Riding
As we ride and handle horses we acquire a sense of trust, respect for the horses, and self-discipline. When we spend time with horse – whether riding, grooming, or mucking stalls – we learn that both horses and their riders need regular exercise, proper nutrition, adequate rest, and caring attention.
Speers-Eljabar makes these opportunities available with a variety of options during the months of April through October.
Riding lessons in English and/or Western Disciplines are taught by Robin Daneker a Level Four Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) Instructor. Beginner level lessons focus on all-around horsemanship. Intermediate Level riders work on posting trot, perfecting a good "seat" and riding with all their natural aids.
Horse Lovers Day Camp provides one week of horses, horses, horses for day campers ages 8+. This is the ideal summer camp for beginner to advanced Equestrian Enthusiasts!
