At Camp Speers, campers discover their potential and learn to be an active participant in our cooperative and supportive community. Located just 2.5 hours from Philadelphia and 1.5 hours from New York City, this 1,100 acre pristine Pocono Mountain oasis is where campers have FUN, develop lifelong skills, build character, make lasting friendships, and connect with the natural world.
Our goal is to have each camper and program participant leave Camp Speers YMCA with a stronger sense of self than when they arrived. We guide campers on the path to embrace the Y’s core values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility, which permeate Speer’s programs and activities. These strong, positive character attributes are exemplified by our staff.

Camp Speers offers activities for campers of all ages and interests, including: sailing, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, outdoor living skills, arts and crafts, nature hikes, swimming, mountain biking, high ropes, archery, and so much more!
